ASISC Regional Swimming Meet 2017

On the 29th of July, a few students from 9,10, and 11 standards went to Disha School in Pollachi for the ISC Regional Aquatic Meet. Although some of the athletes had previous experience participating in competitive swimming, for many of us it was new. Nonetheless, all of us approached the competition with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
There were six schools participating in the meet, and the competition was intense. But the hard work we put into training throughout the term paid off, and we left Pollachi with four medals to our name: three silver and one bronze.
It was a great team bonding activity in which all of us were supportive of one another and pushed each other to do our best. For me, the highlight of the entire event was the senior girls 4×100 meter relay. Not all the athletes were comfortable with the stroke, but we were motivated and determined, and we secured second place against immense competition.
Overall, it was a great learning experience and we enjoyed it very much.
