School Structure

The Home School houses boarding students in the Junior, Middle, and Senior School with ages ranging from 6 to 16 years.

The Junior and Middle school incorporate elements of the Montessori Method along with traditional modes of teaching that effectively prepare students to appear for their board examinations at an appropriate age. The teacher to student ratio during these formative years is kept very low in order to ensure close supervision and monitoring. The Senior school is a time of consolidation and enhancement of what the students have already learned and impartation of knowledge and skills needed both to face their board examinations and their eventual transition into the world outside.

Children and adults from different parts of the world come together and live as ‘families’ in the Home School. This framework allows students to retain their individuality, and also teaches them to become an active part of an intimate microcosm of people of different age groups, mental make-up, and needs.

The Home School's academic year comprises 2 terms:

  • Term I: Early June to Mid - October

  • Term II: Late November to Early - April
