Junior School and Middle School students attended a Voice-Over Workshop by eminent voice-over artist Mrs. Prachi Sathi. The sessions opened with simple ice-breaking and voice modulation exercises. They then were introduced to the wide world of voice acting. Students were particularly thrilled to be given the opportunity to dub over the voice of many of their favourite animated characters, including Simba and Nala from ‘The Lion King’ and Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Prachi is the official Hindi dubbing voice for Disney character, Minnie Mouse. Her dubbing career spans nearly 2 decades, during which time she has lent and modulated her voice for innumerable animated, TV and movie characters. She has lent her voice to movies such as ‘The Karate Kid’, ‘The Sixth Sense’, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’, ‘Chhota Jadugar’, ‘Stuart Little’, ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Krishna aur Kans.’

Aside from being a voice-over artist, Prachi is an award-winning Bharatnatyam dancer and actress. Students had the opportunity to watch her perform live at the Isha Yoga Center’s Navaratri Festival. It was a treat for all at the school to be able to interact and work with such a passionate, elegant and versatile artist.
