On the 27th of June, the Isha Home School cricket team travelled to Perundurai, Erode, to participate in the prestigious Inter ICSE Schools, Tamil Nadu Region, Cricket Tournament hosted by the The Unique Academy.

After a three hour bus journey and a short warm up session the boys went straight away for a match National Academy (Ramnad) at 11:00 am.

Captain Ram Satvat lost the toss and the team was given the chance to bat first. The boys responded enthusiastically with a score of 109 for three in the allotted 16 overs. National Academy could do little to stem the tide of Gokul’s attacking strokes as well as the technical finesse of the others viz, Ananth (23), Maitreya (13) and Captain Ram (19).

After such a good start the bowlers finished the match in great style led by a very inspired performance by Middle Schooler V.Suganth with his 6 for 8, including a hat-trick helping the Isha Home School breeze into the Quarter finals beating the National Academy by 79 runs.

The boys entered the quater-finals , they faced a strong team but acquitted themselves well.
