Class IX Students Visit The Golden Triangle

This year’s trip to Agra, Jaipur, Jaisalmer and Delhi was a total blast for us. The fun started on the one and a half day train journey. Though we expected time to drag real slowly, it seemed to have just run by, and in no time we found ourselves in front of the majestic Taj Mahal. We were dumbfounded by its beauty, but even more flabbergasted with the architectural brilliance at the Agra Fort. Later, we moved on to see the vibrant pink city and its interesting historic monuments. Each and every place was extremely unique, especially the Amber Fort, the beauty of which is still most fascinating and captivating. Finally, we were all happy to reach the one and only place we were waiting to see: Jaisalmer. The traditional Rajasthan food surprised us as we hadn’t had such good food in a really long time. The camel rides were the most fun, especially that many of us were scared to get on and off the camel backs! We really enjoyed the scenery from the camel back as we rolled down the sand dunes! Lastly, we enjoyed our last three days in the capital city: Delhi. We marveled at the most important building in the city: the parliament building. Later we went to pay our respects to the fallen warriors of our country, at the India gate. We were also very fortunate to be present during the time of elections in Delhi. We returned back to the school on a smooth flight from Delhi. What a memorable journey!
