Class VIII Students Visit Hyderabad and Aurangabad

During our trip, we visited many ancient and interesting places. First, we went to Hyderabad. In Hyderabad, we saw many priceless statues and artifacts at the Salar Jung Museum. On the same day, we went to see the paintings, weapons, and vintage cars at Chowmahalla Palace and, of course, the towering minarets of Charminar. The next day, we scaled the Golconda Fort, visited the Qutb Shahi Tombs and went boating on the man-made Hussain Sagar Lake.

Next, we travelled to Aurangabad. On our first day in Aurangabad, we braved the Daulatabad Fort. After an exhausting trek, we went to Panchakki, an old water mill which was nearby to the fort, and we also managed to go to Bibi Ka Maqbara. The next day we travelled by bus to Ajanta. At Ajanta, we saw many beautiful carvings in the caves. There was so much to see that we took a whole day to finish everything. On our last day in Aurangabad, we went to the Grishneshwar Temple and the Ellora caves. At Ellora, we did a lot of individual exploring which was a thrilling experience.

Not only did we feast our eyes on magnificent monuments, but we also treated our stomachs to a variety of delicious food. In Hyderabad, we had dinner at two wonderful restaurants, Chutneys and Paradise. The food was world class and cooked to absolute perfection. In Aurangabad, we ate at local dhabhas. Personally, I enjoyed eating at the dhabas.

Throughout the trip, we were constantly moving and we barely got a chance to relax. It was one of the most exhilarating field trips I have ever been on. Now, I am waiting for another trip which will be as great as this one!
