Every year on the 24th of June, Isha Yoga Centre volunteers, including several Isha Home School teachers, celebrate the anniversary of the Dhyanalinga consecration.  This event is an offering of sound from 6am to 6pm.  Since the Dhyanalingha is a multi religious shrine, the “sound” is created by chanting from various religions and paths including, but not limited to, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist and Sufi chants and songs.  Depending on cultural heritage, experience or just sheer interest Home School teachers regularly join and even lead some of these groups in front of the Dhyanalinga.  The Christian and the Sufi groups did a special afternoon assembly to commemorate the anniversary at the school. The members of both groups were from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds and enthusiastically sang beautiful spiritual music that was enjoyed by everyone.
