On the 24th of July, 11th  and 12th  standard students had the opportunity to interact with one of India’s eminent personalities, Mr. Vijaypat Singhania, who was visiting school along with our founder, Sadhguru.  Mr. Vijaypat Singhania  is the chairman emeritus of the  Raymond Group of clothing and textiles and a former  Sheriff of Mumbai.

Mr. Singhania shared predominantly about his passion for aviation.  A keen aviator, he holds the world record for the highest altitude gained travelling in a  hot air balloon, notably carried out at the age of 67. He also holds a world record for his solo microlight flight from UK to India in 1998. He has flight experience of over 5,000 hours.  What was particularly exciting was to hear about some of his memorable moments while in the air. He also spoke about the differences between various types of flights.

Students were in awe and developed a new-found respect for the art of aviation. After such an interaction, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if some of the students decide to take to aviation!
