On Christmas Eve, IHS put up an entertaining variety show that included song, dance and drama. Tarana was adorned with twinkling Christmas lights to welcome the audience and add to the festive ambience of the season. The show opened with the entire Junior School parading in from the back of Tarana posing as Christmas carollers waving and singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. Then, dressed elegantly in white, the middle school sang a traditional acapella choir arrangement of “The Carol of the Bells”. Everyone listened silently as their enchanting singing filled hall.

This was followed by the main acts of the show performed by the eighth standard students. First came a comedy version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, followed by a Christmas rap and hip hop dance. Next, a group of students sang a hilarious Christmas novelty song that was created and first performed for the American skit comedy

show Saturday Night Live. The show concluded with a short narrative of How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr.Seuss. The Grinch invited all to “feast” on delicious, exotic Christmas cookies and hot chocolate that were served after the show. A truly “Merry Christmas” celebration indeed!
