Taking off from their exploration of the evolution of life, the oldest students of Junior School visited the Gass Museum in Coimbatore recently. The Gass Forest Museum has one of the rarest and most extensive collections of rare and endangered stuffed animals, birds, reptiles, tribal clothes, animal skins and skeletons, historical weapons, tree trunks as old as 450 years and wood samples which are 25 million years old. The children transformed into explorers as they gathered all they information they possibly could. It was a treat for the eyes and as a student rightly said, “It felt like I had traveled millions of years back in time!”
