Simul Chess Exhibition

On the 15 of August (Independence Day), eighteen of IHS’s best chess players assembled in Tarana to take part in the Simul Chess Exhibition. Eighteen boards were set and our guest from Israel, Arad anna, readied himself to play all the eighteen players at once, going from one board to the next while having a few seconds to stop and play a move on each board.

After an Intense two and a half hours the game ended on the final board with a score of sixteen wins for Arad and two draws! The students who managed not to be defeated by Arad were Khushi and Adhavan from 8th standard.

For some of the students it was the longest game they had ever played, but nonetheless it took place in a most professional way with the audience keeping silence and the players keeping concentrated on their game. Congratulations to all who were involved!
