The fourth sports day was as eventful as all the ones before!
The day began with an intense senior school boys kho kho match. Kakatiya & Chola needed the win to stay in the game and Hoysala & Maratha wanted to extend their lead even further. In the first innings, Hoysala & Maratha took nine outs but they were no match for Kakatiya & Chola who, playing with a lot of vigour, managed to get 17 outs. From there on it was just a matter of time before Kakatiya & Chola walked away with the match, giving their teams a much-needed victory.
Next up was the middle school volleyball match. Each team, Hoysala & Chola vs Kakatiya & Maratha, managed to win one set each and it was down to a nail biting last set. Maratha & Kakatiya managed to keep their nerves to win the final set and add precious points to their team’s total. It was wonderful to watch the children play with such ease and confidence.
Finally, it was the much awaited junior school volley throw-ball match. As the name suggests the game is a mix of volleyball and throw-ball. Both teams played with a lot of skill and enthusiasm but Hoysala & Maratha managed to defeat their opponents Kakatiya & Chola in straight sets to take their place as volley throw ball champions!
Scores thus far:
