If anybody thought that the competition in Sports Fest 2014 couldn’t get any tighter, they were proven wrong on Day 5. The morning began with Middle School Mixed Dodgeball. Team Chola showed its resiliency by beating Hoysala and Kakatiya in tight matches to take home the points.

Next, we witnessed Senior School Girls Kho Kho, where team Maratha/Chola faced Kakatiya/Hoysala. The girls put their hearts on the line in an intense, nail biting match that will be remembered for years to come. As the final whistle blew, the teams came to realize that the score was tied and that an extra 3 minutes would decide the winner. After another 3 intense minutes, the game ended in a draw because both teams refused to lose.

As dark rain clouds moved in from the mountains, it was already raining points in the Senior Boys Volleyball match. The tight match had to be decided in the third and final set with Maratha/Chola staying alive in the overall standings with the crucial win. At the end of day, one could still feel the spirit of Sports Fest in the air.
